Project Background

Located in Halle, Germany, this detached house was owned by the Schmidt family, who have long been committed to energy sustainability and wanted to reduce their reliance on the traditional power grid. With rising electricity prices in Germany (reaching up to €0.45/kWh during peak hours) and government incentives for self-consumption of renewable energy, they decided to install a solar photovoltaic (PV) system on their roof and configure a Dawnice residential energy storage system to achieve greater energy self-sufficiency and economic efficiency.

Project Description

The system features a modular design, installed in the home storage area, saving space and simplifying maintenance. The energy storage system uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, ideally chosen for their high safety and long cycle life. It is equipped with an intelligent battery management system that supports automatic charging during off-peak hours or peak PV generation, and automatic discharging during peak hours or at night, optimizing household electricity costs.
