This is a case study of a residential battery installation in Nigeria.

Release time: 2025-10-23

Project Background

In Lagos, Nigeria, frequent power outages are a daily problem for many families. Take the Bello family in the Ikoi neighborhood as an example; they experience power outages of 5 to 6 hours daily, severely impacting their children's studies and family life. Previously, they had to rely on noisy and expensive diesel generators, but the high fuel and maintenance costs became an unbearable burden. Therefore, they decided to find a more stable and economical solution and ultimately installed the Dawnice residential energy storage system.

Project Description

This project installed a residential energy storage system in the Bello family's detached house and factory, forming a hybrid energy system with existing rooftop solar panels. The energy storage equipment features a wall-mounted design, effectively saving yard space. The system is equipped with a smart controller that automatically optimizes switching between solar, grid, and battery storage, prioritizing the use of clean and lowest-cost energy sources.

User Feedback

"This system has completely changed our lives," said Mr. Bello. "Power outages are a thing of the past, the children can study peacefully at night, and the food in the refrigerator has never spoiled. What surprises us most is that since reducing the use of generators, our energy costs have been reduced by nearly half. It's as reliable as a family member who never rests."

Project Outcomes

Quality of Life: Achieves 24-hour uninterrupted power supply, ensuring key appliances (such as lighting, refrigerator, and fans) never stop running.

Economic Benefits: Reduces monthly household energy costs by approximately 50%, with an estimated payback period of 3-4 years.

Environmentally Friendly: Expected reduction of 1.2 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

Quiet and Clean: Say goodbye to the noise and fumes of diesel generators, significantly improving the living environment.
